Jennifer Kalfsbeek oversees operations and ultimately quality of the Valley Select Ingredients business. Jennifer helped pioneer sprouting on the West Coast in 2008, relying heavily on her 20+ years of expertise in the rice industry. Jennifer was instrumental in developing the Safe Select® food safety processes.
The preeminent expert in commercial sprouting, Shane manages the Valley Select Ingredients sprouting process from the start to finish, ensuring that the highest level food safety and quality requirements are met and exceeded. Shane utilizes his extensive training with the Japanese sprouting experts deepening his understanding of the process.
Ralph is hands-on in the sprouting process, ensuring food safety and quality controls are met. Turn-key facilitating orders from the ground, meeting and fulfilling customer demands.
Karye is an industry leader in Quality Assurance and Food Safety. In addition to leading the QA team at Valley Select Ingredients, she also leads research efforts at the Valley Select Ingredients lab and is a member of the Sprouted Whole Grain Council.

At Valley Select Ingredients we process a wide range of quantities with exact specifications, according to our customers’ needs. We are a trusted partner in Food Safety. We adapt to our customers’ requirements and always meet or exceed quality standards.
We provide custom sample inspections testing with USDA Grain Inspection Packers and Stockyards Administration (GIPSA) grades and rice grades. We analyze the physical characteristics of rice, including broken kernels, damage, chalkiness, other types and foreign material. Additionally, we determine moisture content and rice whiteness as part of our protocol.
